We are a group of mothers who arrange tailor-made language exchanges between families in the UK, the US, France, Spain, Italy and Germany. We firmly believe that total immersion in a loving family is the most efficient and fun way to improve your children’s language skills.

How it works

Complete the registration form

We need as much information as possible about you and your child to find the most suitable Link Family. Please fill out the form and provide at least one photo of your child.

Other photos of your family and house are very welcome.

Please fill out one form per child..

We find you a matching family.

The Godmother in France will select the most suitable family and we will contact you with the details. On acceptance we will send you the family’s full contact details.

We will also provide you with an information pack to help your organise your exchange.

You make contact with the family.

You contact the family to organise the dates and to get to know each other.

We advise you to spend as much time as possible communicating with the family to prepare the exchange.

Your child can also start communicating immediately by telephone and internet. The more involved your child is from the very start, the more he/she will enjoy and benefit from the exchange.

We are on hand to help with queries or if there is a language barrier or any other problems.

Make travel arrangements

Book the travel; ensure that you have travel insurance, a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) and a valid passport.

We do not make travel arrangements but we are on hand to help with any queries or problems.We also endeavour to mathc families where a direct flight is possible.
