We are very happy to have welcomed Jamie thanks to Lingualinks. The success of this match could not have happened without the introductions via Lingualinks. Tom and Jamie got on very well and had lots of things in common, not just sporting interests but also their characters. This really helped us to enjoy Jamie’s stay with us as there was a great “ambiance” from the moment he arrived. The correspondence between the two families before Jamie’s arrival enabled us to welcome Jamie without any apprehensions. The whole family is delighted with the exchange which of course will continue. Hugo our younger son is now also very motivated to learn English and wants to do an exchange. Even I have signed up for English lessons!
A few days in a French lycée, parties, shopping, family meals, outings…Sorcha became part of Néféli’s life for two weeks last June. Sorcha made huge progress in French and the two girls really communicated and shared many great moments. As souvenirs we have photos and recorded songs! The return trip is planned for October. After ratatouille…. broccoli!
| A great experience, some wonderful moments and new friends in London !
Arthur’s exchange this summer was a very enriching experience, another country, another culture, another language, another family. I think hosting and being hosted is also very interesting for our children who must welcome their guest and present their own country and culture. I sincerely hope that the boys will continue to correspond and exchange. I don’t know how to thank you enough but it is from the bottom of my heart! Both girls were great, perfect for each daughter, well done. I am delighted with how it all worked out. A new friend who quicly became part of the family. Maxi had a great time in Cap Ferret (as he put it 'when God is in France I'm sure he spends his holidays in Cap Feret') He got on very well with Amaury and his family and felt very much at home. He enjoyed the lifestyle, the beach and the food during his two week stay and would love to go back next summer. I was very pleased with your 'perfect matching' of families! which made it easy for Maxi to fit in and about the positive effect it has had on Maxi's attitude towards learning French! |
